My advice to anyone who wishes to go to this place is. AVOID !!! We went in the afternoon for lunch. Right from the moment we parked our vehicle it was a no go place. Rain water was all over the entrance and the walk way to the entrance. No provisions are done to contain the rain water. The second thing was the dirty toilet which is very unwelcoming for any guest especially a woman. We ordered our chonak thali, and the curry was served in a small bowl which was again a downer. The highlight of all this was the bill where the thali was priced at 410/-. There are so many good places that serve better thalis than them and at a cheaper price too. Their thali at this justifies the fact that there was only one table apart from us at that time. Anyways it’s a lesson learnt. To the people who manage viva goa, please visit other thali joints and see where you’ll are lacking. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1

We had two meals there - both fish thalis. And some urak on the second visit. It was far from Casa de Patio where we were staying in terms of the steep parts of the road there and back in the hot sun but well worth all the trouble and the walk helped build appetite and digest lunch. The thalis were the best I've had so far - the kokum water was flavoursome and without the coconut milk and that is what I prefer. I'm not so keen on the dried fish dishes anywhere but the one here was tolerable to me. The rava fried fish was succulent and delicious as were the prawn curry and the clams. There was also some fish curry which was mouth watering. The vegetable dish was out of this world - so honest and as if some loving and expert mother made it. I can't remember if I left out anything :) The waiters and such were so perfect - attentive if needed, discrete and assuring our comfort and privacy while relishing the meals.
