A review is more of a duty towards the people who would decide on the basis of a review than a right to express anger or delight about an experience. So a review has to be as objective as possible. I am writing this after an hour of visiting this famous chaat bhandar at Dashashwmedh ghat, Vishwanath Gali. By 8:50 pm i reached this place with high hopes as I had believed on reviews. I thought to have chaat as my dinner. By that time their items like golgappa and samosa were unavailable. So I ordered for one tomato chaat. I had a very revulsing experience of this item at Allahabad few months back. But I thought of giving it another chance before I firm up my views. I got it and tasted it. Lo and behold it was worse than Allahabad. I could not go beyond a couple of spoons. I hate throwing away food. But I had to. I didn't want to puke in public. Believe me. I mustered up courage and told myself that I must think positive. Probably my taste buds don't agree with tomato chaat. But my favourite khasta kachri cannot betray me. I ordered more one plate khasta kachori. As I had first bite of it my soul shouted "Dalda" , and that very moment the man preparing tikki started emptying one packet of dalda vanaspati on the tawa. I was in a state of shock on the taste of kachori plate. I was finding it very rude on my part to dump that also so I started picking on the curd and chatni in the plate. I looked around if anyone was noticing me. Thankfully there was thing gathering around me. I quietly lowered my hand and let the stuff in my hand slip into the dustbin. The only word that was coming to my mind at that time was toothpaste. I don't have anything against this establishment but I certainly have a sense of duty towards those who would be visiting this place in future. I believe bad businesses and inefficiency must be called out loud and clear so that they either improve or wither away asap. Lastly, When you try to walk into this vishwanath gali in search of vishwanath chaat bhandar stay clear of vishwanath chaat restaurant nearby which is more prominent. I didn't know so visited that first and even ordered for one samosa chhola. That place isn't even worth a review. The moment I tasted the samosa I called the waiter and asked him whether it's same as vishwanath chaat bhandaar. He was at least honest enough to tell me that what I was looking for was near by. I silently paid for just tasted samosa and made a hasty exit. From devil to deep sea. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Recommended dishes: Tamatar Chat Recommendation for vegetarians: Would not recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Vegetarian options: They use monopoly saturated vegetable oil like dalda and rath. The sitting space is tiny and even the standing space is small. The most apt one word for the place is "avoid". Parking space: Difficult to find parking Parking: It's inside a narrow crowded lane where two cannot walk side by side. Kid-friendliness: Not at all for kids. The crowd in the lane may hurt the kids. Wheelchair accessibility: No
