Vintage Restaurant is a nostalgic experience rooted in authentic Goan and Malvani tradition. The ambience alone earns top marks. Everywhere you look, beautifully restored antiques, from vintage scooters to classic crockery, pair perfectly with charming, authentic artwork by the world famous Goan cartoonist Mario de Miranda. This detailed immersive decor makes the dining space feel warm, personal and profoundly unique. The cuisine truly delivers at this place. The Jevonacho Patlo Thali is a non-negotiable must try which is an essential Goan culinary experience. Served dramatically in a traditional coconut palm basket (patlo) with individual clay pots, the assortment of curries, fresh fish fry and vegetable preparations showcase incredible balance. They hit all the right notes of spice, tang and freshness. Specifically, the fresh fish was perfectly moist, and the accompanying Dry Prawn Kismur added a fantastic savoury textural contrast to the rice and curries. We also indulged in the assorted Chicken Kebab Platter. It delivered perfectly charred, tender cuts with a diverse range of marinades. The smoky depth in the tandoori elements and the hot punch of the marinated pieces were truly remarkable and satisfying. Even the small details impress. Our fresh lime soda was served in unique, antique style glassware, elevating a simple drink to a thoughtful and vintage experience. Service was good too. The staff happily explained the cultural significance of the Patlo Thali and its traditional elements, showing real passion for their heritage. Vintage provides both a culinary feast and a visual delight. It’s an essential stop while you’re headed towards the Mopa airport or anyone visiting Goa.
