I reached the station a bit early to catch my train from Porbandar and decided to have a Gujarati thali for lunch — and it turned out to be one of the best I’ve had during my six-day trip across Gujarat. Throughout the trip, I had mostly come across people who were rude, mean, money-minded, and rather inconsiderate, which had left a bit of a sour impression. But this experience changed that. The owner of the thali place, an elderly gentleman, was extremely humble and kind. Before my train’s departure, I requested him to pack a good amount of food for the journey. Though the helpers initially seemed reluctant, the uncle was considerate and asked them to prepare it quickly. Thanks to his warmth and promptness, my order was ready well in time — a simple yet beautiful reminder that no matter how many unpleasant encounters you have, there are always good people out there who make the journey worthwhile. The owner and staff were friendly. We had gujarati thali and it was unlimited and awesome, that too at a cheap price of Rs 120 per head!! Highly recommended for gujarati thali.... Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian
