Walking near St. Mary's Basilica, visit Village - The Soul Of India. Indian cuisine is served at this place. Enjoy perfectly cooked tandoori roti, panipuri and paneer at this spot when you happen to be near it. Try tasty ice cream, jalebi and gulab jamun. You will be offered good tea.
The atmosphere of hospitality of Village - The Soul Of India highly depends on the staff, that is appealing here. If you want to experience fast service, you should go to this place. The terrific decor and calm ambiance let visitors feel relaxed here.

Note: I visited the Village restaurant before the corona crisis. This review is based on that visit.
Village - The Soul Of India is a restaurant located on the sixth floor of Central Mall, J P Nagar. It is situated at a walking distance from the popular Ragigudda Temple. I would say that this is the perfect use of the place that one could have done right in the middle of a chaotic and busy locality of Bangalore.
The village is truly a 'village' themed restaurant and I appreciate the promoters who have ensured that the ambiance and experience would look as close to village life as possible. They have a big artificial banyan tree right in the center where people can sit. The table and chairs have been made artistically from most humble and simple things. A horse cart, small shacks, etc light up the ambiance further. Astrologer, air-rifle counter, puppet show, etc adds to the charm.
There is a fixed cost per head and all food and beverages are unlimited once you are inside.
Food mostly consists of Rajasthani and Gujarati cuisine along with North Indian dishes and some native South Indian 'must-have' dishes like curd rice, sambar, rasam, etc. Food counters are spread across the premises and that makes all the counters free of the rush. Chaat counter seemed to be the most favorite of all the guests. They have also made a small 'jail' like enclosure which is again a big attraction among guests. The buffet is the only option here and you have hours at your disposal to enjoy the food and experience. Food was good in taste, but this place is more about enjoying the overall experience than the food.
Once the majority of guest has arrived, the staff would start interesting activities like - musical chair, dance, Garba, ghoomar Rajasthani dance, juggling, etc
I feel that this is a perfect place to visit with a group of friends or family members. It is a good place to organize small parties. Bigger the group, more fun would be at Village - the soul of India.
