I’m writing this after a really disappointing experience at Venillicious My sister and I often visit this place specifically for the paneer crunch focaccia sandwich. We may not come in daily like some “regulars,” but we’ve been here enough times to always be recognised by the chef who, by the way, is warm, welcoming, and lovely every single time. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the way customers are treated overall. On a chilly Saturday evening, we visited the café and found both ACs blasting at 16°C. It was already cold outside. I politely requested that the temperature be increased. The response I got was shocking:. I was told by the owner the woman herself that they couldn’t change it because the people sitting there were their regular customers and they couldn’t let them down. So basically, if you’re not on their “regulars” list, your comfort doesn’t matter. What made it worse? The so-called regulars were already sitting in hoodies, clearly unaffected. Yet our request was flatly refused no discussion, no middle ground, no empathy. We ended up leaving without ordering anything. This incident made it very clear that Venillicious does not treat all customers equally. Prioritising a handful of regulars at the cost of basic courtesy towards others is poor hospitality. If this is the attitude, then people like us and many others will simply choose not to return. Good food alone doesn’t make a café. How you treat people does. Hey Darshana, Just trying to understand - So you’ve liked our paneer crunch sandwich and have always come back but you’ve never written us a good review? But for once when we just couldn’t increase the temperature of the A/C, that’s when you write us such a big review? Also we remember, we politely told you that the sweetest and our most regular customers had first requested us to reduce the temperature that’s why we couldn’t increase it. Our response alone shows how nicely we treat our regulars.Nevertheless, we’re sorry, we couldn’t oblige to your request due to prior request by our previously seated customers.

The cafe looks absolutely magical after the Christmas makeover Cozy, festive, and full of charm. Loved that they’ve brought back their strawberry and chocolate menu—every bite feels comforting.
