Absolutely terrible experience. This place is the textbook definition of unhygienic and mismanaged. The food was stale, oily, and barely edible — not to mention the foul smell coming from the kitchen area. Toddy tasted suspiciously diluted, and I honestly question its safety. The staff seemed indifferent and borderline rude, as if they were doing us a favor by serving. Dirty tables, flies everywhere, and even the plates didn’t seem properly cleaned. Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy playing games with your health. There are far better toddy shops in Kerala that respect their customers and basic cleanliness standards. Fish and duck are too overpriced and beef was soo cold like it came straight from fridge. Ordered fish curry and it wasn’t fresh at all and meals were cold too Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1

Overpriced and Misleading. Visited Veliyaycha Kavu Hotel for lunch, and the experience was extremely disappointing. For just two member family , we were charged ₹1090 for a lunch – shockingly high considering the food and service There was no menu card shown, and no prices were displayed or communicated. They also don’t serve regular water – only bottled water is provided and charged. I ordered a fish called “Para” and the staff member (supplier) casually asked if we wanted prawns. Assuming it was a small serving, I even told her to just bring one,at that time she asked shall I take two. A few minutes later, a huge Para fish was brought out without warning. I was shocked and told the staff that I hadn’t expected such a big fish. She simply replied, “It’s like this here.” I then said I couldn’t eat the prawns after that, but she told me “the order can't be cancelled.” Despite this, I spoke with the management and fortunately got the prawn order cancelled – something the staff member claimed was not possible. This kind of service is misleading, especially for first-time customers. A normal supplier would inform customers about quantity and pricing beforehand. Here, it felt more like a trap to inflate the bill without our knowledge or consent. No supplier came near us to serve extra curry or rice . Would not recommend this place. Lack of transparency, overpriced dishes, and an approach that seems to exploit customers – especially those visiting for the first time – make it a bad experience overall. സാധാരണക്കാർ പോയി തല വെക്കരുത് എന്ന് മാത്രം പറയുന്നു.
