Only hotel in Villupuram in these years to call back and check if the food was good... And before ordering i called and asked if kids can eat since it might be spicy... they told it will be fine.... buts kids enjoyed... nice food... but to call and check if the food was good is something shows their confident on what they delivered....

Don't order in this hotel very worst service I ordered idly they delivered idiyapam..they call and changed the order by them self..they not not even ready to cancel the order from their side..don't waste your money

This is my third order from Velan Mess, and I'm rating it purely based on the biriyani, not the brand presentation. A quick poke though. I’ve already mentioned twice about using a Velan mess brand wrapper, and once again, it arrived wrapped in a newspaper. Looks like they’ve decided to rely on their taste instead of brand presentation.The biriyani came in a banana leaf, just like before, and the flavors were really good. I liked that they didn’t send any extra complimentary rice that weren’t needed. The gravy was thick and flavorful, and the rice had a soft, pongal-like texture which makes it easy to digest.The only disappointment was the undercooked country chicken. It was a bit rubbery and needed more cooking.Overall, for the taste and experience, I’d give it 4 stars. One star off for the chicken, but the flavor still makes it worth it.
