Quick Summary Vedant Dining looks like a place you might ignore at first glance — quiet, simple, nothing fancy. But the fish thalis are genuinely good, reasonably priced, and the “choose your masala” system makes it better than you’d expect. Worth it if you’re going purely for food. Detailed Review. First Impressions I didn’t know about this place until my friend took me there. From the outside, it feels like an underrated restaurant with almost no crowd. Very basic setup, nothing that gives a great first impression. But the food changes that opinion pretty quickly. Their Thali System The interesting part is how they let you choose the masala for the same fish. You can pick kala masala, kolhapuri, malvani and a few others depending on the day. It’s a simple idea but it really adds to the experience. Prices are also very reasonable. What We Tried We ordered the Surmai Thali in kala masala and the Prawns Thali in kolhapuri. Both were well-cooked and had balanced flavor. Not oily, not over-spiced. You also get options for bhakari (rice, bajri, jowar) or chapati, which is always a plus. Ambience There’s nothing much to expect here. No decor, no theme, no vibe. It’s a straightforward, eat-and-leave kind of place. If you’re someone who prioritizes ambience, this won’t be your spot. Value for Money For the taste, portion size and the price they charge, it’s definitely a value-for-money thali place. Good option for a simple meal without spending too much. Final Verdict Vedant Dining may look very basic from the outside, but if you want a simple, affordable and tasty fish thali without overthinking, this place is worth visiting at least once.
