A Taste of Tradition at Uttam Hotel, Coochbehar. Uttam Hotel, located on N.N. Road in Coochbehar, is a true institution, standing as one of the oldest hotels in the area with a classic Pice Hotel style. The food here is genuinely good, offering authentic Bengali cuisine that satisfies with its rich, traditional flavors. The interior is also quite nice, providing a comfortable setting for a meal. While the pricing is based on the old Pice Hotel style, I believe introducing a Thali System could make it more competitive and straightforward compared to other nearby hotels. On my recent visit, many of the items were finished, which was a bit of a letdown. However, this could simply be a testament to its popularity. Despite these minor points, the food quality remains a highlight, and the hotel's long-standing reputation makes it a worthwhile visit for a taste of authentic Bengali cooking and a bit of local history.
