Urban Turban, authentic North Indian restaurant located in Calangute with a beautiful Panjabi Dhaba themed environment and their dishes are prepared using homemade masala.
We started off with the Nehari - Mutton stew in homemade masala cooked for approximately 6-7 hours. It had a dash of pepper and the aroma of the dish was very pleasing. Slightly salty but the meat was very soft and delicate. A beautiful combination of flavours to experience.
Khameeri Roti - Fresh prepared soft flatbread that complimented every gravy dish. So well it was a delight to eat.
Murgh Angara-Tandoor smoked chicken which was perfectly cooked, the tantalising flavours keep you engrossed in the dish and the spiciness gives a final bang on impact. Even with a drooling mouth you just cannot get enough.
Butter Chicken-Tender chunks of chicken cooked in a smooth and creamy gravy packed with an array of flavours, mild and sweet to the taste with a hint of butter.
The masala used in the food is prepared from scratch(no ready-made masala used) that brings the authenticity in the food cooked.
If you want to treat yourself with some delicious North Indian Punjabi delicacies prepared by talented Chef Ballu then this is definitely one of the best places to visit in Goa.
