Upavihar - Tower Park is a restaurant nestled on Y Block 6th Street, right across from the Ayyappan Temple and conveniently located near the Anna Nagar East metro station in Chennai. Known for its casual and trendy atmosphere, it appeals to various types of diners, whether you're visiting for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and is especially popular among university students. The establishment caters primarily to vegetarian options, with an "all you can eat" offering, although their take on filter coffee may not be up to everyone's standards.
Diners can take advantage of service options including dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, making it accessible for different dining preferences. Although it does not currently offer wheelchair-accessible seating, it's a notably kid-friendly spot, with free street parking available nearby. While it accepts credit cards and mobile payments, reservations are not an option here, so plan accordingly.
Known for its appetizing meals, especially during lunchtime, the quality of food generally receives positive feedback despite some concerns over the speed of service. Its presence online is fairly limited, lacking detailed modern directory listings aside from a simple Google profile. Due to this, very few details about its operating hours or owner-updated information are readily available, leaving much of its current day-to-day workings somewhat unclear.
The food was exceptional. People who love Bangalore type dosa would have a feast here. And they do have options for Chennai sambar (Jain sambar) and Bangalore sambar (sweet ). No additional cost for this. I had Ghee podi roast, it was 100 I guess and worth every penny. I would visit here once a month. The handwash area was dirty and completely unmaintained and making it very uncomfortable to eat here but The food here tastes really good no complaints about that. Food: 4 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
