After looking at St. Lukes Church, have a meal at Upavihar. The menu of Vegetarian cuisine provides flavorsome meals at this restaurant. Taste perfectly cooked vada, sambar and masala dosa at Upavihar when you happen to be near it. Do not go away without enjoying good pancakes. If you want to try some great coffee, this place is a nice choice for you.

I tasted the Plain dosa which is around 70 Rs. The taste is too good and the sambar,chutney all are taste wise good. Dosa quantity is little. I saw the making process , A kitchen very neat and hygiene. My part is 70 is not a comfort price for dosa. Self service only , No chairs for sitting. That is the major drawback for my personal opinion. Disappointed and worst experience. Order placed through : swiggy. Date : 11Oct2025 I had placed an order at upavihar, ranganathan garden, anna nagar branch through swiggy. My order included 3 items.idly 1 plate, rava idly 2 pieces, Bonne podi dosa 1 piece. A diabetic person was waiting to eat after taking insulin. The food was delivered after 45 minutes, and upon checking, the plate of idly was missing. I immediately raised a query on the swiggy platform and attached a photo. The chat went on for around 30minutes, meanwhile I was arranging bread for a person the support agent asked me to contact the restaurent directly , stating that it wasn't an issue with the swiggy delivery person I also spoke to the delivery agent who clarified that they don't open the food packs- they simply deluver what that restaurant hands over. I searched for the contact details of the anna nagar branch on Google and called them. The person I spoke yo denied responsibility and argued that it was swiggy issue, insisting I contact swiggy customer support. What kind of blame game is this? Again the other swiggy customer person asked to email the issue to support team and they will address the issue immediately. Wow again a wow. I did that too, they relaxed and sent email that they are helpless and unable to refund too. wonderful right? I was frustrated and asked the hotel staff, are you playing games now? My concern isn't about a money - a diabetic patient was waiting to eat on time and these delays were affecting their health. Swiggy and the restaurant should pay for my loss of time and the suffering. The hotel staff then said, you can plane another oder tomorrow, call me with the old and new order numbers, and il send the missed idly with the new order. What kind of nonsense is that? Would he or his family tolerate such treatment? I NEED A STRONG RESPONSE AND HELP WITH THIS ISSUE THIS ISNT JUST ABOUT FOOD - ITS ABOUT ACCOUNTABILITY AND EMPATHY.
