I visited the Udupi upahara hotel for lunch and I was very impressed by the food and service. The hotel is located in a convenient spot, The ambience is simple and clean, and the staff is courteous and attentive. The food is the highlight of this place. They serve authentic Udupi cuisine, with a variety of dishes to choose from. I ordered the thali, which came with rice, sambar, rasam, curd, pickle, papad, and three types of subzis. The food was fresh, hot, and delicious. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I especially enjoyed the potato curry and the pineapple gojju, which had a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors. The gulab jamun for dessert was also soft and tasty.
