Critical Review: Udupi Krishna Restaurant, Sector 101, Noida On 24th February 2025, I visited Udupi Krishna Restaurant (GF-1, Sector 101 Metro Station Rd, Noida) with my wife, hoping for a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, what unfolded was an utterly disappointing and frustrating ordeal that left me feeling cheated and disrespected. I initially ordered the South Indian Platter, which, as per the menu, includes Masala Dosa/Onion Uttapam, 1 Idli, 1 Vada, Upma, Rasam, Sambhar, and Rava Kesari, priced at ₹560. Additionally, I ordered a Cold Coffee for ₹179. After a wait, the staff first served me the Cold Coffee, which was mediocre at best. However, what followed was shocking. Instead of my ordered South Indian Platter, I was served a South Indian Thali, which consisted of 4 Pooris, Sambhar, Rasam, Mixed Vegetables, Rice, Yellow Dal, 1 Papad, Salad, and a half glass of Buttermilk, priced at ₹350. I immediately pointed out the mistake and requested my original order, but the restaurant staff, including their representatives, repeatedly insisted that I try the Thali instead. Despite my firm refusal, they continued persuading me, making the experience uncomfortable and frustrating. To make matters worse, during this exchange, one of the staff members took my Cold Coffee away without explanation. When it was returned, I had no idea whether anything had been tampered with, which made me highly uncomfortable. Upon questioning why my drink was taken, there was complete silence from the staff. This was highly suspicious and unacceptable. Given no other choice, my wife and I reluctantly tasted the forced Thali. The food quality was highly unsatisfactory; each item lacked flavor and authenticity. After just one bite of each item, we decided we could not eat any more and requested the bill. Initially, the staff asked for ₹528, but after some back-and-forth, they settled for ₹500. I ended up paying for a meal I never ordered, was pressured into eating, and ultimately did not enjoy. This was not just a poor dining experience—it was outright fraud. The service was unprofessional, and the staff’s behavior was deceitful and coercive. Such unethical practices are unacceptable in the hospitality industry. I strongly urge everyone to avoid Udupi Krishna Restaurant in Sector 101, Noida. The service is dishonest, the food is below par, and the management appears complicit in these fraudulent practices. This was, by far, my worst dining experience, leaving me feeling robbed both financially and emotionally. Verdict: Never visit this restaurant. Disgusting food, terrible service, and fraudulent staff. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Dear Tushar, Thank you for sharing your experience. We sincerely apologize for the situation you encountered during your visit. It’s disheartening to hear about the mix-up with your order and the service you received. We have checked that you have ordered the South Indian Platter but you have received the south Indian thali, we are sorry for that. There is miscommunication between our captain and the kitchen staff, and we understand how frustrating this must have been for you and your wife. Additionally, we understand how concerning it is when a drink is taken away without explanation, and we deeply apologize for any discomfort that caused. The discomfort you felt over the handling of your Cold Coffee is certainly not the standard we aim to uphold. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope you might consider giving us another chance to provide you with the quality dining experience we strive for. Your feedback is invaluable, and we take it seriously as it helps us improve. Please share your contact number on our mail id [email protected]. We hope you will consider giving us another chance to provide you with the service and dining experience you originally sought. Regards, Udupi Krishna Restaurant
