I recently had the opportunity to dine at "Udupi Cafe Bangalore Idli" on the Dehradun-Mussoorie road, and I must say it was a mixed experience. First, I tried their Idli, which is often considered a South Indian delicacy. However, I was slightly disappointed with the Idli as the batter seemed to be over-fermented, resulting in a slightly sour taste and a denser texture than expected. It lacked the soft, fluffy quality that makes Idlis so beloved. Next, I ordered a classic South Indian Filter coffee, a beverage I was eagerly looking forward to. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. The coffee lacked the bold and rich flavors that are characteristic of a good Filter coffee. It tasted somewhat diluted, and the aroma was not as robust as I had hoped. Only Rawa Dosa & Uttapam were good. Lassi also had room for improvement. On a more positive note, the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance with comfortable seating and a clean environment. The service was prompt and courteous, which added to the overall dining experience. In conclusion, "Udupi Cafe Bangalore Idli" has room for improvement when it comes to their Idli and Filter coffee. However, the restaurant's ambiance and service were commendable. It's possible that other items on their menu may offer a better culinary experience, but based on my visit, there are areas where they could enhance the authenticity and quality of their South Indian offerings.
