See Shri Swaminarayan Mandir by default, the guests' recommendation is to come to this restaurant as well. UDIPI REFRESHMENT is famous for serving Chinese cuisine. Many guests come to degust perfectly cooked idli, naan and kacamak. The truth is that you will really like good falooda, strawberry dessert and strawberry ice cream. It's time to degustate delicious strawberry milkshakes, fruit juice or fresh juices.
This place offers food delivery for the convenience of its customers. The pleasant staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Fine service is a strong point that plays a great role for the success of this spot. Prices here are reported to be low. This restaurant is known for its cool atmosphere. All Heat, No Flavor, and an Absolute Rip-Off. I am absolutely appalled by the meal I had at Skip UDIPI DADAR. I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience here was so incredibly disappointing that I feel obligated to warn others before they waste their hard-earned money. Let’s get straight to the biggest issue: the food. I ordered the pulao, expecting a well-crafted, enjoyable meal. Instead, what I received was an absolute assault on my palate—and not in a good way. The dish was completely devoid of any actual taste, depth, or proper seasoning. It was entirely bland, yet somehow aggressively, unbearably spicy. It felt as though the kitchen simply dumped a massive handful of raw chili powder into the pan to mask the fact that they don't know how to properly cook or balance flavors. There is a huge difference between "beautifully spiced" and "painful with zero flavor," and this restaurant clearly does not know the difference. My mouth was burning, but the food itself tasted like absolutely nothing. I couldn't even force myself to finish it. To make matters worse, the prices here are shockingly high. If I am paying a premium rate for a meal, I expect high-quality ingredients and a chef who understands basic flavor profiles. I felt completely cheated. I paid top-tier prices for a meal that was practically inedible. You can genuinely get significantly better, richer, and more authentic food from a local street stall for a fraction of the cost. The ambiance and service simply cannot make up for food this disastrously bad and heavily overpriced. I walked out with an empty wallet, a burning stomach, and a ruined evening. Save yourself the frustration. Skip UDIPI DADAR and spend your money somewhere where the kitchen actually knows how to cook. I was looking for good restaurants around Dadar station and came across Udipi Refreshment. What I really liked about it was the quick service. Right from being handed the menu to taking our order and service, everything was great and taken care of. It's a very busy resturant with customers in the waiting line to dine in and that's a really good sign of any restaurant. They have two seating sections: Non-AC and AC. We tried their Mysore Masala Dosa, Idli Medu Wada Sambar and Pav bhaji. The Dosa and Idli Wada Sambar was amazing, so much that we ordered it twice! I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who intends to have a fulfilling meal served soon with great quality and taste!
