"Tide and Table By Taste Of Varkala certainly boasts an enviable location, perched right on the very edge of Varkala cliff. The ambience is, without a doubt, a major draw – the views are simply stunning, and the proximity to the ocean creates a truly special atmosphere. We were also met with a warm welcome from the staff, who were attentive and friendly. Our main reason for visiting was to sample their Kerala breakfast offerings. We ordered the Appam with egg roast combo and a plain dosa. While the presentation was decent, the overall taste and quality left something to be desired. The food, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to the hype or the price tag. It wasn't that the dishes were bad, per se, but they lacked the fresh, vibrant flavors one expects from authentic Kerala cuisine. There was a sense that the food wasn't prepared fresh to order, which was disappointing. In summary, Tide and Table offers a fantastic setting and welcoming service. However, the food quality needs improvement to justify the prices. There's definitely room for them to elevate their breakfast offerings and ensure a more freshly cooked experience. If they can address these culinary concerns, they have the potential to be a truly exceptional dining destination."
