Ordered a paneer malai tikka and a chilli cheese panneer saute with herb rice. Paneer tikka was bland.....and flavourless. A malai tikka should be marinated in a cashew based paste and grilled in the tandoor. Our tikka was just plain and barely grilled. It was a huge disappointment. The paneer saute with herb rice was a disaster, being an Indian restaurant, in India, that too South India, the least one can expect is that the rice be cooked. Rice was uncooked, hard and inedible. We complained and the rice was taken and returned after a few minutes , just heated up ...and the consistency was even worse. We have had amazing meals at Thulsi sometime ago. This time it was a very bad experience. Saving grace was the masala. chai.
