To order nicely cooked fried fish, biryani and fish masala is a truly nice idea. This restaurant is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Here you will pay democratic prices. The enjoyable atmosphere is what Thimmappa Fish Hotel is about. 4.3 is what this place received from the Google rating system.

It's a very iconic place of udupi to have Fish served in either Indian masala or Rawa, which ever you prefer.. But be mentally ready for the crowd and waiting time which is minimum of 1 hour, the place closes at 4PM...and reopens around 7Pm so plan accordingly... Anjal rawa fry recommended, also don't try the chicken items and biriyani ... Not worth it. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600

Visited Thimmappa Fish Hotel on Malpe Road and had a really good experience overall. It’s a local favourite for fresh, authentic coastal seafood meals — especially the fish fry and fish thali served traditionally on a banana leaf, which tasted flavorful and well-spiced. Wanderlog. What I liked: • Fresh and delicious fish — Pomfret and anjal tawa fry are must-tries if you love seafood. • Good value for money with reasonable prices for quality seafood. • Friendly staff and a no-frills dining vibe that feels very local.
