I recently purchased a chocolate cake (₹1300) from Theobroma, Pimple Saudagar, and was really disappointed with the quality. The cake was not at all fresh – it was stiff, hard to eat, and felt like it had been kept frozen for quite some time. To make it worse, the name written on the cake by the staff completely ruined its look. Along with that, I bought a Biscoff cheesecake (₹700), and to my surprise, the very first bite was awful. The biscoff spread on top tasted as if it had gone bad, giving an unpleasant flavor. For a brand as popular as Theobroma, this was extremely unexpected and disappointing.
