I have been to verandah, tal kutir several times and my experience was always pleasant ..so I pre booked and returned last Sunday with a guest and my family with a request for a poolside table. On reaching at the appointed time, we were made to wait for 45 minutes and were very casually told that there would be a minor wait !! When we showed our displeasure at their callousness they offered us a tiny table, in a shoddy corner, asking us to start with the appetizers with a promise to shift us to a decent table for the main course ! It was getting late , we were hungry and afraid that they would close the buffet soon ..so we didn't have any other options and accepted the offer. After seating we realised that they had not set the table and had to make several requests for cutleries, napkins and even side plates!! The service was appalling and the so called floor managers were incompetent and uncaring. The food itself was pretty pedestrian. The ones you had to order off the set menu (only the appetizers and dessert were laid out ) either took ages to be served or didn't appear at all. They offered us gulab jamun and returned to say that they had ran out of them . They had also run out of something as basic as vanilla ice-cream. A buffet spread for which they charge a pretty steep price, food (taste and availability)was pathetic and the attitude of the restaurant staff was lackadaisical ,unprofessional and totally unacceptable. Very embarrassing in front of a guest . An extremely bitter experience. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

We went to the Verandah to have a celebratory lunch for my mother’s 80th birthday, mostly attended by friends and families of similar age group . An event of this nature required deeper understanding by the staff on food restrictions, spice levels and modalities of service . Glad to say that the team under Farhana’s guidance did an excellent job , across both Verandah and Lake view lounge . Gave us an opportunity as a family to enjoy a seamless afternoon without the need to worry about anything. Everything was curated to perfection . Well done team at Taal Kutir ! Given I am very particular on certain service matters , I was pleased that I had no issue to raise at all. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in
