Visited Upper Story, Bhubaneswar with a group of 4 friends, and we were utterly disappointed by the unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour of the staff—especially the so-called manager. Despite the place being almost entirely empty on a Thursday evening (with not more than 2–3 tables occupied), we were denied seating at a proper 6-seater table. Initially, the waiter falsely claimed the table was "reserved"—a blatant lie given the visibly vacant restaurant.After some request, we were reluctantly allowed to sit there, only to be approached by the manager moments later. Instead of communicating politely, he was extremely rude and disrespectful, asking us to shift to a very uncomfortable seating arrangement made by joining two small round tables meant for couples. These tables clearly weren’t suitable for four people to dine comfortably.It was shocking to witness such arrogant behaviour from the staff, especially in a hospitality business where basic courtesy and customer comfort should be a priority. The manager lacked both professionalism and respect for customers.This experience left a bitter taste before the food even arrived. Upper Story seriously needs to revisit its customer service ethics and train their staff in basic hospitality manners.Would not recommend this place unless they change their approach to treating guests.

Worst service and behaviour by staff. Food is not up to the mark at all. Ambience is good though. If you take the left over home they even charge for packaging. I have seen this for the first time.
