Opted for dinner buffet. Unfortunately the spread was very minimal and most of the items were so bland. Paneer curry and beef roast was too bad. The semiya payasam was stale and I informed the same to staff. They had to remove it from the buffet. Ordered phulka and after following it up after 30 minutes they bought chapati. When I said I ordered phulka and not chapati they staff said “both are kind of similar”. I had to pause my eating at that point. This is not the kind of food and service we expect from a reputed star hotel chain. We have been to most of the popular star restaurants in Kochi and unfortunately this would stay in the bottom of the list. One of the staff was very courteous. I had my dinner here on the independence day holiday and the dinner buffet spread was very good. The delicious food options along with courteous staff just help elevate your experience. I just wish the lights are a bit brighter as the dim lights don't go with the overall ambience of the restaurant and it looks a little shady particularly the tables in the corners. Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and hotels all around are great at making the day’s first meal also the best one. When you’re shelling out lots of cash or points for a hotel room, having a lavish spread in the morning is an almost unparalleled luxury. However, you have to pay for all that food — and at high-end properties, you may find yourself out well upward of Rs 500+ taxes for a meal. Luckily, though, if you’re a high-tier status holder or book stays through programs like Accor groups & Resorts program, breakfast can be yours for free each day. The breakfast at the Novotel, Infopark Road, Cochin is fantastic and you need to experience the full meal since this hotel is religiously observant. “The spread was expansive with Indian and American breakfasts. The buffet offered delicious Indian and American specialties like South Indian Dishes, North Indian Dishes, American breakfast dishes like live egg dishes prepared in front of you, waffles, Appam, varieties of dosas. Certain Dishes are prepared in front of us, served hot, as well as things like Salads, sandwiches, porridge, muffins, cakes etc..The usual breakfast fare is Rs 750+ taxes for breakfast and lunch and dinner comes to Rs1000+ taxes... Lunch as of now is A la Carte but if you have a group coming in you can talk to the F&B Manager, Mr. Ramesh and he would surely make a best arrangement with best affordable prices. F&B staffs include: Sunny, Prabhas, Charan, Ashok ( Continental Chef ), Anaya,Vishnu, Immanuel, Arun, Soumen, Immanuel and Aabel... Main chef behind the scenes is Mr. Ramesh and also F&B Manager is also Mr. Ramesh. ( Different people with same names ). Backbones of The Square Restaurant ( Novotel ).
