We visited The Sauce Code with our infant, who was walking around the café. The staff were incredibly kind and even gave the baby some chopped mango. A week later, we realized we had left the baby’s silver glass at the café. The staff were so thoughtful—they searched for it and kept it safe for us. When we returned to collect it, they even gave us a dessert. Amazing hospitality! I totally recommend this place.

The Sauce Code seems like a fairly new spot, still finding its footing. The staff was very attentive and actively seeking feedback, which is always a good sign. However, the overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We ordered the Penne in Mushroom Cream Sauce, which was quite enjoyable — creamy and flavorful, living up to the restaurant’s name (insert sauce joke here). The Lamb Lasagna was decent, with well-seasoned meat, but nothing particularly memorable. The Arrabiatta Pizza, on the other hand, was underwhelming; the crust and toppings lacked the punch we were hoping for. The drinks were a bit of a struggle. The Mango and Mint was overly sweet, and the Cold Coffee was too mild — both had to be sent back and adjusted twice. The Coco Vetiver was more balanced, offering a refreshing, earthy flavor. While the place has a decent menu and aesthetically pleasing interiors, the food itself didn’t quite justify the price point — around ₹2500 for three people. The limited crowd on a weekend afternoon also raised some questions about its popularity. Worth considering for the ambiance and maybe a quick pasta fix, but not yet a go-to spot for a solid meal.
