If a restaurant is defined by its food, then The Sapphire fails to live up to the expectations set by its fancy interiors. While it looks like a premium fine-dining establishment, the actual experience is bogged down by poor food quality and a location that makes visiting more of a chore than a treat. It is very expensive as well. A dining for 2 may easily cross 1500 rupees. 1. Overview: All Glitz, No Substance. The Sapphire is essentially a "Instagrammable" shell. It offers a top-notch atmosphere that feels out of place in its chaotic surroundings, but once the food arrives, the illusion of luxury disappears. With average food quality, heavy oil usage, and a frustratingly crowded location, it is hard to recommend this as a primary choice for a meal. 2. The Food: Oily, Basic, and Forgettable. The biggest letdown is the food, which is the soul of any restaurant. Oily & Heavy: Most dishes are swimming in grease. Whether you order North Indian curries or Chinese starters, the heavy-handed use of oil makes the food feel unhygienic and difficult to digest. Average Taste: The flavors are incredibly basic. There is no signature touch or culinary expertise on display; it tastes like standard canteen food served on fancy plates. Value for Money: Given the premium pricing, you expect high-quality ingredients and balanced flavors. Instead, you get "filler" food that is bland and oily. 3. Location & The Parking Nightmare. Located in one of the most congested areas of Raebareli (Kutchery Road), the restaurant is a victim of its own geography. The Chaos: The street outside is loud, dusty, and perpetually crowded. The noise often bleeds into the experience of arriving at the venue. No Parking: If you are coming by car, be prepared for a disaster. There is no dedicated parking, and finding a spot on the narrow, traffic-heavy road is nearly impossible. You often have to park several hundred meters away and walk through the crowd, which immediately sours the mood for a "fine dining" evening. 4. The Contrast: Atmosphere vs. Utility. The only reason people visit is for the infrastructure and service. The Good: The interiors are genuinely top-notch—modern, well-lit, and comfortable. The service staff is polite and very professional, doing their best to manage a venue that is let down by its kitchen. The Irony: It is frustrating to sit in such a beautiful, well-serviced environment only to be served oily, average-tasting food after struggling for 20 minutes to find a parking spot. Final Verdict: Not Recommended for Foodies. The Sapphire is a place you go to sit, not to eat. If you need a place for a quick business meeting because of the nice chairs and AC, it works. But for a family dinner or a food-focused outing, it is a disappointment. Major Cons: Oily food, average taste, zero parking, and a stressful, crowded location. Pros: Great decor and good service staff. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000
