The food at Rich Crust didn't disappoint us. But this time we were cheated, rather conned by the attenders.
They gave 3 menus
- Food Menu (with Rich Crust name on it)
- Beverage menu (with Rich Crust name on it)
- Beverage menu( with Havelli name on it)
As a customer while ordering we looked that the Beverage menu and Food menu (with Rich Crust name on it, since we sat at Rich Crust restaurant).
I had discount membership from Dine out app, which had running offer at Rich Crust (it was 20% off on the bill)
While checking out I was told Alcohol is not part of the Dine out offer, which I agreed for (As I am a regular visitor to Havelli and Rich Crust, it was a known fact for me).
Now the price did not tally with menu and the bills. I saw the draught beer was listed at Rs.150 and I was billed at Rs.180. Similarly I did not order for bottled water and I was billed for the same.
When I asked the attender to bring the Beverage menu they got Havelli menu and I said this is not the menu I referred to, it was Rich Crust menu. The attender responded saying "we have only food and this beverage menu and nothing else". Well I did not see the mocktail item that we ordered in the Havelli beverage menu, hence I further asked where is the menu which had Blue Heaven mocktail in it... then the attender brought one other menu (this is Rich Crust beverage menu). Now I pointed out to the price list mentioned on this menu, highlighting the price discrepancy. They said the prices from this menu is not valid (then why did you give me this menu? And why were we charged mocktail based on this menu?...). I felt that something fishy and asked them to remove bottled water, correct the beer price and I was in no mood to pay service charges of 5% when I know these guys have become greedy and cheeky to rip customers.
The manager/ the captain appeared clarifying that they will refund the bottled water, but cannot refund service charges and beer price discrepancy.. WTH... YOU cannot deceive visitors with various price menus and confuse them, this is called CHEATING.
I urge all patrons/visitors/customers to this place (RICH CRUST CAFE AND BAR) to verify the bill before you pay them. Very sad to see the greed mindset of people to ripoff innocent customers.
