Had a wonderful four-course Keralan meal at this restaurant. The food was delicious, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor. After spending a week in Kerala, this was the only place that truly stood out to me as the most authentic and flavorful Indian food I genuinely enjoyed. Our family dinner at Rice Boat at the Taj Hotel in Kochi, Kerala was an exceptional experience. We were a group of ten relatives with very different tastes, yet the evening flowed effortlessly and was thoroughly enjoyable for everyone. The quality of the fish was outstanding and the variety of flavors truly made our palates tingle. Every dish reflected the richness of authentic Keralan cuisine. The standout dishes for us were the kal appam, the classic Kerala fish curry, the flavorful chicken roast, the perfectly cooked squid rings, and the tiger prawns which were simply yum. The service was impeccable and deserves special mention. Ahilan took wonderful care of us throughout the evening, explaining the menu in detail and helping us choose a thoughtful combination of set menu and à la carte dishes to suit different preferences. His recommendations allowed us to experience the full spectrum of Keralan cuisine. Ahilan also kindly took many family photos for us and surprised my uncle with a complimentary birthday cake, which was a very generous and memorable gesture. Overall, Rice Boat delivered an unforgettable dining experience with exceptional food, warm hospitality, and attentive service.
