Except for those mocktails I loved the rest of the foods....and I highly recommend them to all who love to eat continental foods.

With the hope to revive continental food from old Kolkata eateries which no longer exist, The Olde House Eatery lives upto to its name. The restaurant is located in one of the old houses of Southern Avenue and you really need to spot it with spectacles. A narrow pathway with well watered plants lead you to this restaurant. Hand painted walls, green windows, photographs and some of the antiques kept around gives you a nostalgic vibe from the time you step in. The architecture of the restaurant too compliments the ambiance.
The lady who owns this place is really warm and arranged a few things specially for my brother's birthday.
✓ Orange Blossom - A welcome drink served to us which was citrusy and refreshing.
✓ Hummus & Lavash - Homemade lavash with some good hummus on the side is always very pleasing. This wasn't the best hummus I have had but it was good. The lavash was very good.
✓ Zucchini Asparagus Soup - I am a sucker for good creamy conti soups. Absolutely loved this old school favourite of mine.
✓ Chicken, Leek Celery Soup - A thick creamy soup with chicken juliens and we'll flavoured with leek & celery.
✓ Buns - The buns were so soft and complimented well with the soup and herbed butter on the side.
✓ Chicken Parma - Chicken breast stuffed with cheese & olives, coated with biscuit crumbs and deep fried. It is served with salad & marinara sauce. Good as a starter!
✓ Crab Thermidor - Sauteed crab meat & mushrooms in a delectable creamy sauce and baked with cheese. Served in crab shells to give an authentic look. The meat and mushroom is in good amount and hence you might find it a little less creamy. But it's very good!!
✓ Spaghetti Aglio Oglio - Spaghetti was very average as they added a lot of veggies.
✓ Stuffed Grill Chicken - Grilled chicken with pork stuffing with herbs in wine sauce. This was very good and well grilled.
✓ Chateaubriand Mushroom Sauce - If you love tenderloin steak, you gotta try this one. It's very well prepared and done to perfection. An all time favourite served with mushroom sauce.
✓ Pork Chops & Apple Sauce - Succulent pork chops served with Apple sauce and veggies. The meat and fat layer in the chops were perfectly balanced and you would relish each bite.
✓ Old Fashioned Mix Grill - The mix grill platter consists of chicken, beef steak, lamb, sausage and bacon, garnished with grilled pineapple and fried egg with french fries and vegetables. Absolutely loved this one, it's so so good!!
✓ Ganache Tart - Walnut biscuit base filled with chocolate ganache, perfect for a chocolate lover. The ganache is dense and hence delectable.
The place boasts of its steaks, starters & soups and invites everyone to dine in so that one can experience the vibe. They are not on the delivery apps but you can always Swiggy Genie or Uber Connect it, takeaway is also an option.
