During my visit to Kolkata from UK, I took my family to Grand Hotel for buffet lunch on 16th February.

I had high expectations based on my previous experiences. Especially I promised my niece a grand continental display.

However, I was shocked to find extremely limited choice of continental, Indian, deserts etc.

Considering the price I felt extremely disheartened with experience and embarrassed with family especially when I refused their suggestion of ITC lunch.

I was not staying at the hotel this time. I don’t know if that meant I could not sit by the pool with drinks.

I feel let down by the Grand Hotel I have always cherished all my life.

The Oberoi Grand, Kolkata. An exemplary experience for Best In Class service and hospitality. Mere words would not be sufficient to describe the care and warmth of the staff. We were exhausted, dejected and disappointed with an airline experience at 3AM when we arrived in the hotel. Oberoi Grand staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We didn't know how to manage without our single piece of luggage. But the staff arranged spare clothes, hot chocolate, milk for kids and started doing laundry to our clothes so that we can reuse our clothes next day. A tale of 2 completely opposite experiences. One side a flight carrier didn't care to update us or share any information. The other side Oberoi's was doing everything to pamper us. I have traveled across the world stayed in most of the five star brands but the service extended by this Oberoi Team amazed us the most. The team just sold the "Oberoi Brand" to us. We are taking an unbeatable and unforgettable memory with us. Special mention to Aaron and other staff including Shivani, Navajeet, Mayukh, Ephika, Amitava... You guys rock!!!Big thanks to Oberoi Grand Kolkata for everything. SOLD to Oberoi for sure. I look forward to be back soon! Keep it up guys you make this brand Successful
