Visited with family recently, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. We ordered the king fish fry and prawns dry curry, and it was honestly the worst seafood we’ve ever had. The fish tasted spoiled and had a very unpleasant flavor. The prawns were served with full shells still intact, making them difficult and unpleasant to eat. Even their special mojitos (Aampann), which we’ve enjoyed in the past, were completely off in taste and nowhere near the standard they used to be. However, what truly made us decide not to return was the manager’s behavior. When we politely informed him about the quality of the food, instead of listening, he snapped at us. He insisted that nothing had changed in years and argued that the fish was fresh. He then said they are open to feedback, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the food was bad — which felt dismissive and disrespectful. We’ve dined here before, so we know what fresh fish and good-quality food should taste like. This experience was nowhere close to that standard. Housed in a structure that feels like a blend of an old coastal bungalow and a modern industrial space, it features: Open-air seating with plenty of greenery and warm lighting. A quaint koi pond that adds a serene touch to the dining area. A "rustic-soul" atmosphere that makes it one of the most Instagrammable spots in the Udupi/Manipal area.
