I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Master Key in Velachery, Chennai, thanks to a friend’s recommendation. Known for his excellent taste, he definitely steered me in the right direction. Arriving at lunchtime, I was immediately impressed by the experience from beginning to end.The restobar’s valet parking was convenient, and upon entering, I was greeted by a warm, retro-inspired ambiance complete with a DJ area and a well-lit, vibrant bar. The bartender was not only welcoming but also made the bar feel like a great social spot.As a Malayali from Thrissur, I couldn’t resist ordering the beef dishes—Beef Ularthiyathu and Moru Moru Beef. The Beef Ularthiyathu was phenomenal, with authentic spices and flavors that took me right back to Thrissur. The quality was top-notch, making it some of the best beef I’ve had in Chennai.The Master Key spans three floors, each with its own distinct vibe. The ground floor has a moody, retro feel with a DJ platform, while the upper floors offer a more open layout with a relaxed atmosphere and even a snooker area. I had a great chat with Kevin, the manager, who took the time to show me around and shared the exciting expansion plans for the upper floors. His enthusiasm, along with the outstanding service from the entire team, made my visit memorable.With its inviting ambiance, dedicated service, and truly remarkable food, The Master Key is well on its way to becoming a top spot in Velachery. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an outstanding restobar experience!
