I had high expectations for the pizza because they have an authentic stone oven here but sadly it wasn't crispy at all and it tasted like a below average cheap pizza you'd get from a Turkish takeaway shop in Europe. Their fish and chips was soggy and flavourless but the potato wedges were excellent. The restaurant has a nice interior. Not great but on the other hand it was quite affordable for what they serve so overall it wasn't too bad. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: ₹600–800

Charming atmosphere! While wandering through Madurai, we chanced upon The Irish Café Restaurant, a quaint little place with a cozy atmosphere that's ideal for lounging around and having a laid-back chat. The ambience and layout were warm and welcoming, so were delighted to visit the cafe on our food crawl. The one great disappointment was the service. It appeared that the personnel focused more on the regular customers or larger groups. Although we ordered panna cotta and Calamari, we were told that they weren't an option. However, to our surprise, Calamari was served at next tables. Although the location fares well on atmosphere, the uneven service and food availability problems made our experience less than fulfilling. There is certainly potential here, but a few tweaks on the customer service and food clarity on menu possibly could significantly improve.
