I have been visiting Tumakuru regularly for official work for the past 3 years. A friend from the city had recommended The Hut, known earlier for its hygiene and quality food. Since then, it has been my preferred place for lunch with my team. The ambience is good, and the washrooms are especially decent for travellers like me—far better than most restaurants in Tumakuru. However, over the last 6–8 months, I have noticed a significant decline in hygiene standards. This is the third time I have been served water in an unclean glass. Your staff do not seem to check glasses before serving. Some of them also lack basic etiquette while handling plates and glasses—one staff member even puts his fingers inside the glass while holding it. His behaviour is also quite arrogant. I have reported these concerns at the manager’s desk more than three times, but there has been no improvement. No soft-skill training is being given to staff, no effort is made to correct or replace problematic employees, and hygiene checks appear to be neglected. Serving tasty food alone does not bring customer satisfaction. It must go hand-in-hand with hygiene, staff attitude, and overall hospitality. With the current standards, I am hesitant to recommend this place to anyone anymore. You may lose customers if this continues. You might be assuming that since Tumakuru doesn’t have many good restaurants, customers will return anyway. But that’s not how it works—people do not come back if the standards are not maintained. I sincerely hope you take this feedback seriously and restore The Hut to the reliable, hygienic place it once was. Food: 3 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
