I just had an absolutely incredible meal at The Hungry Monk. What a lovely ambience! I have to give a huge shout-out to the staff for their dedication to hygiene. For the food, I tried the noodles and the wontons. While the noodles were delicious, I have to confidently say that their wontons are the best in the entire city. Highly recommend you check it out! Hungry Monk – A Taste of the Hills in Every Bite. Our recent visit to Hungry Monk was a wonderful experience filled with authentic flavours and heartfelt hospitality. The menu showcased a beautiful mix of Tibetan and Himalayan favorites, prepared with care and precision. We began with Jhol Momos, delicately steamed and served in a spicy, tangy broth — pure comfort food. The Tibetan-style Chow Mein had the perfect smoky aroma of the hills, while the Five Spices Chow Mein offered a bold, fragrant twist that elevated the humble noodle dish. The Chilli Mushroom was crisp and flavourful, offering the right balance of heat and texture. The Non-Veg Thukpa stood out with its rich broth, tender meat and depth of flavour — truly soul-satisfying. Beyond the food, what made the visit memorable was the warmth and genuine hospitality extended by Chef and Owner Nikhil. His personal attention and evident passion for good food made the experience truly special. Thank you, Nikhil, for your efforts, kindness, and dedication — Hungry Monk is more than just a restaurant; it’s an experience crafted with heart.
