I generally don't write negative reviews but this place deserves one.
I had seen some good pictures and interesting menu of The Chicken Company - Vadodara on social media and decided to visit this place yesterday, on a Sunday evening.
Surprisingly there was only one Zomato guy waiting to pick up his order and rest of the place was empty. (This could have been my first warning sign, which I ignored).
We ordered Chicken Lahori Pizza, Chicken Makhani and Roti combo, Chicken Pavbhaji, Chicken Amritsari Roll, Chicken Zinger Burger, Fries and Red Melon Mojito and Green Apple Mojito.
After a wait if around 15-20 minutes we got the chicken pizza, and the chicken makhani and roti combo.
To be fair the pizza and the chicken makhani were decent and above average in taste but the tandoori rotis were very dry and hard.
When I complained, they informed me that they use frozen tandoori rotis and they come out like that only. ????????
Now who serves frozen tandoori rotis in India?? ????????
The chicken pav bhaji that came after this was more of a chicken sabji in brown gravy with some frozen green peas. It too looks as if it had been put in microwave and served hot. ????????
The chicken roll, I was so pissed off by just looking at it, that I didn't click it's picture. It was so tiny, the size of khaboos shawarma available at road side shawarma places for Rs. 50. ????????
I would have ignored the size but the bread of that roll was so very hard and dry, it was almost uneatable. I don't know whether they grilled it too much or if it was taken out from a deep freezer. I even asked the guy there to touch that roll and whether he would be able to eat that thing and I returned that roll.
That was enough for us and till that point, after nearly half an hour or so, there was no sign of the mojitos, which should be served before or with the food, so I cancelled the mojito order.
Then they asked us if we want to cancel the burger and fries order too, (I guess they weren't sure if they could serve decent burger and fries) and we happily cancelled the rest of our orders.
We paid for the 3 things that we consumed and left the place wowing never to return. ????????
