Being an admirer of live music i have visited many places in Mumbai for some good listening experience. My visit to the oberoi's was for the very same reason.I reached at about 5pm & was told the pianist was on a break hence i ordered for a double espresso & enjoyed the majestic view of the ocean while reading my book. The pianist returned after 15 minutes & i was really surprised to see a young beautiful woman walk towards the beautiful red piano. She complimented the piano in a manner that brought the whole oomph factor to the lobby.Finally it was time to hear & Oh my sweet Lord!! it was heaven flowing in my ears through music. I had never come across such a brilliant & young female pianist ever in Mumbai.I immediately shut my book & even the expresso that was not that good or was rather below average had suddenly started to taste like the best cuppa i ever had.I spoke with her & complimented her assuring her that i would return for more. The name of this brilliant girl is "Kriselle Misquitta" & she had made my day. Her repertoire had a perfect blend of Classical, pop, rock & new songs. I had never heard such a good version of Numb - Linkin park on the piano, she totally nailed it.After my 5th visit to the place i was sure that she was the best pianist in oberoi & probably Mumbai. The other girl who plays in the morning was not up to the mark but qualifies as a pianist well cos she plays the instrument.Visit in the evening after a hard days work to ease off the stress.Peace!!

A wise person once said that certain restaurants, can knock down the barriers between you and happiness for a few hours. Every taste seems to transport you to another world, while every gesture of the staff convinces you that you live in the privileged center of this one. The Champagne Lounge can totally make you feel that way.Does a Belgian waffle sound like the stuff of privilege? It is when it comes from the Fenix kitchen to your table at the Champagne Lounge. My friend and I happened to go to the Fenix for a late breakfast one morning and since they were wrapping up the tables and vacuuming the place, our server suggested that we be seated at the Champagne Lounge and they'd bring our waffles from the Fenix kitchen to us. It was the best of both worlds, honestly. Because the view from this place is marvelous. This place, I'm told, is most amazing for sundown drinks and bar snacks.

At this Lounge, sadly I didn't sip some Champagne. But surely sipped coffee with bites of butter cookies. The key point for this outlet, was its outstanding view of the bay and just the sense of rejuvenation one gets by sitting here, with calm music at the back.
