Taste nicely cooked butter chicken, mushrooms and pizza Margherita. It's a must to order good margaritas when visiting this restaurant. The cheerful staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Prompt service is something that guests note in their reviews. The Cabana promises a fine dining experience with an inviting ambience and modern amenities, including an open-roof dining space and a swimming pool that adds a touch of luxury to the setting. While the ambience indeed lives up to expectations—ideal for both casual outings and special occasions—the culinary experience fell short during our recent visit. We were particularly disappointed with the Aglio e Olio Pasta (1/5), which lacked the authentic simplicity and depth of flavour that this classic Italian dish demands. It was bland and too hard to chew with excess seasoning of garlic and chilli flakes, making it rather unappetising. In contrast, the Grilled Cottage Cheese with Mushroom Sauce (3/5) was somewhat better but still underwhelming. The paneer was adequately grilled and stuffed with palak, and the sauce added a bit of flavour; it was served with black pepper rice and sautéed vegetables (bell pepper, broccoli, summer squash and mushroom), but the overall dish lacked harmony and finesse in presentation and taste. Despite the culinary shortcomings, the staff was courteous and service was prompt, which slightly compensated for the food experience. The ambience remains the restaurant’s strongest asset—offering a relaxing vibe with contemporary decor and an attractive open-air dining option. Overall, The Cabana may be a good pick for those looking to enjoy a scenic, peaceful environment in Rudrapur. However, if food quality is a priority, especially when it comes to continental offerings, there is definitely room for improvement. A better balance between ambience and food quality could elevate this establishment into one of the city’s top choices.
