Avoid This Hotel – Dirty Rooms, Rude Staff, Fake Photos & Safety Concerns We had a very disappointing experience staying here. The staff were rude and unprofessional throughout our stay. We had booked a Deluxe Room, but at check-in we were told we were being given a complimentary upgrade to a Super Deluxe Room. Unfortunately, the room was far below our expectations. It looked nothing like the photos shown on Google or Agoda. The balcony, which was advertised as a feature of the room, was covered in bird droppings and was unusable. The cleanliness was another major issue. The room and bathroom floors had sticky and slippery patches, were covered in dust, and walking barefoot made our feet dirty. The toilet was also not cleaned properly, with mud-like stains inside the closet (toilet bowl). We had to request housekeeping before it was cleaned. One of the most uncomfortable parts of our stay was the staff’s behavior. A female staff member came to our door and rudely instructed us to hand over the room key every time we went out. She also warned us that we would have to pay extra if we lost it. We didn’t understand why this was necessary, especially since we were three women and had all our belongings inside the room. We were not comfortable leaving our room key with the staff. To make matters worse, someone attempted to unlock our room door on more than one occasion, which made us feel very unsafe. As three women traveling together, this was extremely disturbing and left us feeling insecure throughout our stay. Overall, the property was poorly maintained, the staff lacked professionalism, and the experience did not match what was advertised online. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Service: 1

The hotel is located in kovallam near beach but no access to beach means it’s only a roughy path to walk. Now coming to hotel, the property is huge with swimming pool and full access to it. Rooms are very huge with huge washrooms may be different with different categories. But here comes the cons, the staff is very less and a bit unprofessional. They have mentioned bilingual and multilingual staff but they are not like that. We book 2 delux room, there was so much smoke in room & it was coming from the next building as they were cooking food. We complained like multiple times but the response we got is like- that is another hotel, you can close window tightly and at last no one was at reception to even listen to your complain. We somehow cleared 1st day then next day they simply gave us keys of 2-3 rooms and asked us to check the room and shift our self. Literally, we as a guest change our room 2 times on our own as they don’t have lifts operating. It’s was under maintenance. 2 lifts both were not working. As they don’t have staff at all. The property is nice but not at all managed. Restaurant is there, food is tasty but costly. I would suggest to book hotel but check completely before using it. Service: 2

The Byke Puja Samundra is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were in terrible condition. There were no electric kettles or tea bags provided. The room had a very bad odor. For breakfast, they only served Aloo Paratha with tomato chutney, and Paper Dosa without Sambar or coconut chutney. When I asked for Sambar and other items, the staff simply replied that they only had tomato chutney. There were no fruits or juices available, and not even bread and butter. We even had to specifically request tea for it to be made. When the power went out, it took them half an hour to switch on the power backup. The reception area was not air-conditioned. We were a group of 10 people, and some of our rooms did not even have geysers. Furthermore, the bathroom door locks were broken. In short, this is certainly not a 3-star hotel. We were not even provided with dental kits, slippers, or shampoo. After all this happened hotel are helpful. But please do not fall for their misleading photos. Do not book this hotel.
