Come here for a meal right after seeing St Peter's Church. The convenient location of this cafe makes it easy to reach by any transport. But on Facebook, Birdsong - The Organic Cafe hasn't earned a high rating.
Situated in the quaint by-lanes of Bandra, Birdsong - The Organic Cafe offers a perfect getaway for a peaceful meal amidst the hustle and bustle which Bandra has to offer
Decor: 4.5
Exposed brick walls, distressed concrete flooring, vintage furniture and arched windows overlooking the street outside. The cafe offers some scenic views whilst you savour some amazing food dished out by their amazing staff
Food: 4.0
We placed an order for the following :-
1) Parmesan Zucchini Fritters with Spicy Chicken:
While placing an order I honestly had no idea that the Zucchini Fritters would make me go gaga as against the Spicy Chicken. What made me order this dish in the first place was the Spicy Chicken. However one bite down and the Zucchini Fritter made me appreciate the Fritter with the Spicy Chicken playing second fiddle. Kudos to the chef for preparing such flavourful fritters that beautifully complemented the Spicy Chicken topping it
2) Arabiata Pasta:
Penne & Exotic Vegetables tossed in an absolutely delicious house made Tomato Sauce garnished with a generous helping of Parmesan was served piping hot and full of flavours
3) Spicy Chicken & Pickled Jalapeño Pizza:
The pizza tasted decent however since it arrived at the table along with the Pasta it stayed there too long going cold. Should have asked the waiting staff to have it bought later. The Tomato Sauce used as a base was sweet and did not go too well with the Spicy Chicken & Jalapeños
Service: 4.5
The service staff is polite and extremely attentive
V.F.M.: 4.5
The prices are decent and considering the delicious food and generous portion sizes a definite value for money
Located in bi-lane of Bandra pali hills, I find this place quite overrated. Heard a lot about this place, but it fell short of my expectations. The food taste was good. Pretentious Quantity. Not worth the price. Their service was very slow. The only good thing was their ambiance and seating arrangements. One important thing to note about the space is that it's completely organic and healthy, with jaggery to sweeten the coffee and gluten-free desserts and bread. Even the menu has an extremely healthy vibe around it. Sure you can find a dish or two to indulge yourself in both mostly expect to feel healthy while eating the food. The café is trendy and simple with key artistic elements to transform the image. Large bay window tables are favorite amongst the customers who like nothing better in the morning than to sit and watch the world pass you by. Busy Mumbai roads seem almost bearable through the glass pane of Birdsong Café. The owners have kept only limited tables so you might not find a vacant place unless you reach early. We started off our meal with the Smoked Eggplant and hummus platter with herb pita, this Arabic style baba ganoush served with plain hummus, bell pepper hummus, pesto hummus and some lovely house made pitta. We also adventured with our next dish of cottage cheese chimuchurri with oven roasted vegetables served with plantain chips.
What's different:
1. Organic / Vegan food
2. Great Ambience
3. Quality and taste of the food were decent. All though I have eaten better
4. Great in terms of hygiene
5. Yummy deserts to die for
Overall 3.5 out of 5 and would surely recommend a one time visit.
