I had one of the most unpleasant dining experiences at Big Chill Cakery recently. Despite the brand’s reputation, the way we were treated was completely unacceptable and disappointing.We visited the café just before closing time and bought a pastry and an ice cream. While waiting for our bill—as instructed by the staff at the cash counter—we were told to take a seat. However, shortly after, another staff member approached us rudely and asked us to leave because they were closing. We calmly explained that we were just waiting for the bill, and my mother was still eating her cone ice cream. We hadn't asked for any service, yet the staff continued to argue and speak to us in a highly disrespectful and aggressive tone.It’s shocking that a brand known for its quality and ambiance allows such behavior from its team. This was not just bad service—it felt like we were being pushed out for no reason, with absolutely no sense of customer courtesy. The staff member was confrontational and rude, which was both embarrassing and upsetting.Hospitality is not just about the food—it’s also about how customers are treated. I sincerely hope the management at Big Chill takes this feedback seriously, trains their staff on basic etiquette, and ensures such behavior isn’t repeated. No one deserves to be spoken to like that, especially not in a place that positions itself as a premium dessert café.Not recommended at all based on this experience.
