Wish to feel ignored , neglected and as if you are a basket-case who has supposedly come to have free food and drinks ? Look no further then -> Welcome to the Beer Cafe (Phoenix Market City, Kurla) ! Prepare to be royally ignored by the staff, ESP. , the Team Lead - Mr. Altaf ! I entered the outlet at around 11:40-11:45 PM on 9th Aug. Despite the outlet being close to empty, not a single staff had the decency to even look at me standing....waiting to be served and seated. They were all fixated with the cashier & what's happening on his computer....for some mysterious reason, rather than welcome guests. I had to shout to get their attention. Its only THEN, that their staff moved. Mr. Ravindra - a Team Member - came to help me with seating , and the menu. He , thankfully, realised that I was upset with the way that I'd been completely ignored the entire time....as if I came here to dine for free ! Mr. Altaf had a very weird obsession with this particular table seating 8 , extremely young people having drinks. For some reason, he refused to lift his eyes away from them....and look whether other guests reqd. his help or not. Even after I tried to get his attention initially, he just looked at me and without even acknowledging my presence , returned to his attention to this Table of 8 ! He's either looking at / with them... or with the cashier...primarily, the former. Ultimately, it was Mr. Ravindra, who ensured that all my clarifications regarding the menu were cleared and that I was promptly served. He also made laudable attempts that at least he, is looking at other customers and tables too. He was the only silver lining in the cloud. His humility, attention to customers' needs & professionalism are really appreciated. Most surprising aspect ? I'd actually praised Mr. Altaf's customer service last time I was here. His fall from grace was spectacular Had I been the Manager, I'd have fired Mr. Altaf & put Mr. Ravindra in charge. Sadly, this ain't gonna happen....and this establishment is going to hold customers a hostage to Mr. Altaf's mercurial nature ! People come to establishments like Beer Cafe more for the vibes & services and less for the drinks. One rather go to an Irish Cafe situated on the same floor for better services than be here. Regret paying the Service Charge here, on 2nd thoughts. Didn't wanna have anything more than the single Bacardi Black Rum with ThumbsUp , after getting my mood spoiled like that. Some drinks too were unavailable. Extremely slow service. If the way you are treated is not an issue with you, feel free to visit this establishment ! Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2
