Hello,I want to highlight unlawful and unethical conduct being pursued at The Beer Cafe, Pavillion Mall, Ludhiana, Punjab restaurant. I with my 4 friends came to dine at the restaurant. We asked the restaurant to remove our Service Charge which was charged in our bill. The junior staff along with the senior staff person told us it will not be removed but after telling him Law in India for the same he agreed to do so but with condition that I cannot use Zomato to pay the same.Now I have a very simple argument for the same. If my contract/arrangement with Zomato allows me to get a discount which can very well vary on what kind of bank credit card I use and what other offers Zomato gives on dining; How is thestaff using that as a bargain for not removing service charge. My dealing with Zomato is one thing and my dealing with restaurant is another. Then another senior manager came along after I chose to pay through Zomato and bear the service charge under hostile environment as I had a lady along.
