I visited The Mackerel Story near Jogeshwari / Andheri East and tried few of their specialities … the Barlela Pomfret , crunchy Thecha Bombil Rolls, which had a spicy punch you won’t wanna miss. the Malgudi Prawns was a delight due to its tangy and spicy flavours i am now a fan of that dish. The Surmai Thali is a perfect seafood thali. All the sea food was very fresh the pricing was very decent .. I washed it all down with mango panha and kokum sharbat. the Desi Karwari Chicken is good with regional karwari flavours… overall ill highly recommend this place and all the dishes i tried in seafood. Instead of going for the thali u can jump on surmai fry and chapati. I visited this restaurant for lunch with one of my office friend. As soon as you enter this place you get to see warm and cozy ambience which makes it an ideal place to dine with family and friends. They have huge sofa seating and it's quite a huge restaurant. Very first I ordered for 2 mocktails which was soo refreshing. In starters we decided to go for tawa fry pomfret and tawa fry bombil. The taste was amazing and you can actually feel the freshness of the seafood served at this restaurant. Also they have many meat dishes into their menu. In main course I preferred to go for Surmai thali. The single huge slice of surmai was so thick and comes with so many other items which makes it a perfect thali meal. Really had a wonderful lunch at this beautiful restaurant. Surely would love to come back again. Ambience : 5/5. Food : 5/5. Service : 5/5.
