Had a lovely experience at Tholgiri in Lamb Road, Guwahati. We ordered a veg thali along with fish fry and mushroom dry fry. The food was overall tasty and budget-friendly, not too expensive at all. However, we felt that the mushroom fry could have been better in terms of flavor and texture. What truly stood out was the atmosphere — the place is beautifully designed to give off a pure Assamese village vibe. The bamboo interiors, traditional decor, and cozy setup immediately make you feel at home. There’s a wonderful display of local items like pitha, achar, and other indigenous food products for sale, and they also have a mini book section showcasing Assamese literature and crafts, which really adds charm to the place. Nice place to have authentic Assamese thali, I opted for veggie thali, cup of Assam tea with milk and got myself a pack of dry rice pitha. Must visit, the lady who served me was a sweetheart. Happy memories taken back to Sydney. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Best smell and taste of the thali and great home made masala is used and all time best original village oil is used... Top most Special thing is fully Assamese ethenic and cultural food Laadu-Peetha and all available here...
