I recently visited Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant. I had heard a lot about their famous biryani from different people, so I went there with high expectations. I ordered the Mutton Biryani. The first thing I noticed was the amazing smell — it was really tempting! The jeera samba rice, the mild spices, and the well-cooked mutton pieces were all perfect. The rice texture was also very different from normal biryani — in a good way. But there were a few small downsides. I felt the mutton pieces were a bit less, especially for the price. If you go with a group, the portion size might feel small. Also, there was some waiting time, and it seemed like online orders were given more priority than dine-in customers. The staff was okay — polite and quick. The ambience was decent, not too fancy. I noticed that the washroom could be cleaner and better maintained. Overall, if you love real biryani flavors, this is a great place to try. First-time visitors will enjoy it for sure. Just try to go when it’s not too crowded for a better experience.
