Well... I was jalpaiguri.. so I had to go to this well known authentic Bengali restaurant. I had gone there to check if all the reviews and opinions about this restraunt were correct or not... To be very honest.. I really loved the atmosphere and the way the owner has done the interior and the decoration.. it's really mind blowing.. they used many graphics and cartoons more like a Bengali drawing.. so from the food to the atmosphere everything was Bengali.. well the waiters were also in kurta pajama... They did maintain the style... coming to the food well I did love the food as well.. for the first time I tried an item which was new for me.. it was catla fish.. well the fish was not new...but The way they cooked it was new.. it was sour and tangy but in a very horrible way.. i really hated it .. maybe that was not my cup of tea !! The prawn masala was also good.. chingri pulao was good not that bad... well this item was also my first time eating...I even tried their begun bhaja..but I found it to be little thick and soggy so did not like it as as such..maybe because I prefer crunchy begun bhaja..or a little deep fried...if you come here i recommend you try basanti pulao with murgir mangsho (chicken masala).. that was the best thing i liked of this restaurant .. well the service was good.. but I found it was very weird and awkward for the waiter to keep on standing while am having my food... I suggest the managers should ask the waiter to not just keep standing in my head.. it was very unpleasant for him to be standing there.. and am sure no one likes it when ur the only one eating and the people are staring at you... Anyways.. I think they must be excused while someone is having the food.... Apart from this I had another issue at this restaurant... The price and the quantity was good. It was not very pricy.. as per me.. but I did feel horrible when they over charged me... In the bill.. when I saw the bill I saw almost in every item they had added around 10% of the MRP of each item ... Into the bill.. for example.. the catla curry was of 180 but hey added rs 20 extra.. making it 200.. so I had ordered around 8 to 9 dishes... So imagine around 9*20 =180.. so if my bill was around 700 it becomes 900... this way of charging customer is not good.. when I asked them abt it.. they said me they had to add that extra amount because the food items were served as per portions.. so well I had ordered half plates.. of the item.. as am alone and I make video.. for my YouTube channel.. i have done this in many places... After asking the owner of the restaurant.. all the restaurant were good and never over charged me.. even at this restaurant the owner had said the waiter to charge me half the price.. but later they tell me I have to pay 10%more.. because of the portion system... In other restaurants if momo was of 140 .. and I had ordered half I had to pay only 70 (half price).. but in this restraunt chingri pulao was of 320.. they should take half price .. as per the owners instructions... Which would be 160.. but they charged 180 in The bill ... To be honest I would have not mined if they charged me extra for shooting at their restraunt... But they just came up with this horrible way of over charging.. which was really a sly move of theirs to cheat people like me who are young and easy going... I was really disappointed with this attitude.. I hope they change this.. or else overall the restaurant was good.. Me And One Of My Friend Was Thinking to Visit This Restaurant From some Times, Today i got a chance of Visiting there, I would like to appreciate their Food Quality, Behaviour, Management team for being soo good . The Food Quality is First Class And Fresh. If you want an Authentic Bengali Dish Eating Experience then you should Visit here for atleast one Time, You Will Never Regret Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Aiburo VAT Thali, Veg Thali, Muger Dal Gosht, Beguni, Fish Fry Bhetki

I have been coming to this restaurant since this Durga Puja. It's really fantastic to find a place where they are serving authentic Bengali cuisine. The choice of the menu is praiseworthy.
