Scheduling your trip, pay attention to MG Marg and remember to decide where to eat: this restaurant is right aside the mentioned place of interest. According to the clients' comments, Chinese and Tibetan dishes here are tasty. Taste Of Tibet boasts tasty chilli beef, pork spring rolls and chinese pork. The cooks here prepare good rice cakes. A lot of visitors order delicious beer, absinthe or liqueur. Tea is great at this place.

The convenient location of this spot makes it easy to reach even in rush hours. Most visitors consider the staff friendly. The enjoyable service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the guests' point of view, prices are fair. There is a lovely atmosphere and spectacular decor at this restaurant. But Taste Of Tibet has been rated below average by Google.

Taste of Tibet is a small yet popular restaurant tucked away on the first floor along the bustling MG Marg in Gangtok. Known for its Tibetan specialties like momos, shyaphale, and thukpa (or thumpa), it’s a cozy spot that draws both tourists and locals. We tried a few of their signature dishes. The momos were decent but didn’t quite live up to the hype — they lacked the punch of flavor we were expecting. However, the thumpa completely won us over with its rich and comforting taste — perfect for the chilly weather. The shyaphale was another highlight: crispy and well-fried on the outside with a generous, flavorful chicken stuffing inside. Overall, Taste of Tibet is a good place to stop by if you’re exploring MG Marg and craving some Tibetan comfort food. It's definitely worth a visit for the thumpa and shyaphale! If you are in MG Marg then this place is definitely one of the places which you should consider to pay a visit. Spending a evening in Gangtok with a glass of your favourite drink served with some hot pork chilli is something you will definitely cherish. We had some home made pasta, chicken clear soup, drums of heaven and roasted chilli pork where every dish served had made justice to our taste buds. The drinks pricing is also quite economical. Highly recommended to pay a visit. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3

Tried Beef Fried Rice with Chilli Chicken. Tasted very poor, quantity was also much less compared to other restaurants serving the same at this price point. Needless to mention the food served ws over priced & staff ws in a hurry closing down the shop rather than serving the customer. They actually wasted our dinner outing. Overall experience was pathetic . Don't recommend it to tourists. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹2,000+ Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
