Food quality was authentic and enjoyable, especially the momos and thukpa. However, the staff’s hospitality and service could be improved for a better dining experience. I visited Taste of Tibet on MG Road, Gangtok, and had a really good experience. I ordered fried rice, chicken momos, and a chicken item – everything was delicious and freshly made. The momos were juicy and full of flavour, and the spicy carrot pickle on the side added a perfect kick. The fried rice was well-seasoned and filling. The atmosphere of the restaurant was casual and lively. It’s located right on the main MG Road, so it’s always buzzing with people. Inside, the place had a simple, no-fuss setup but felt warm and welcoming. It had that local, authentic feel which made the eating experience even better. Service was quick, and the staff were polite, even during the busy hours. Definitely a great spot to enjoy some tasty Tibetan-style food while soaking in the local vibe of Gangtok.
