We were invited for the food tasting of the massive seafood platter, the first of its kind in our city, recently launched by Vadi Shenoy and his team at Tandoor in Kodialbail. It was my first time visiting Tandoor and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
Tandoor surely doesn’t need any formal introduction. Serving us delicacies since 1984, they are one of Mangalore’s favourite wine and dine spots. In August 2023, they opened the family section seating and launched the much awaited Seafood Thali which includes 14 items for only Rs 349.
About a month ago, they had Mangalore buzzing and splurging on their exclusive ‘Bangar da Anjel’- a 24 karat edible gold leaf pressed on to a chunky slice of king fish. Famed for their sumptuous biryanis with more than 10 flavors to choose from, one being their surprise mysterious TIN that landed at the shores of Panambur beach and created waves all around Mangalore.
Well now they are calling out to all seafood enthusiasts to experience something larger. They have unveiled the supremely irresistible seafood platter with an assortment of 10 kinds of coastal delicacies all placed together on one single platter. From succulent tiger prawns and lobsters to mouthwatering basa and king fish fillets, get ready to savour the oceans finest flavours. Some grilled, some steamed and others fried. Everyone enjoys unique flavours and textures in one meal here.
To all the seafood lovers in the city, get ready for a feast, not just for your eyes but also your tummy. Each platter can easily be shared between three to four adults and is priced at Rs 2,999. It consists of the below items served with Solkadi and an assortment of dips and sauces.
