This review is exclusively for those, who spend ton of time at JNU and find themselves repeating the delivery order from 24/7 and KC. Either way, those of you in the vicinity who are looking for pocket friendly junk, you're in for luck.
I placed an order at Pizza Delight on a late Friday afternoon, consisting of an all meat pizza and masala fries, via the Zomato O2 App. To my surprise, not only did they accept the order but also called back to confirm (two weeks of using the app inside out, no restaurant bothered to call). The food was delivered fresh in 20 minutes, as stated in my order details. Masala fries were enough to serve two starved individuals. It did satisfy the craving, just as much as why I placed the order. Took me a while to get past the pack.
By the time I got to the pizza, I was halfway obsessed with what I was watching (research scholar in Cinema, if you must know). I didn't pay attention to what the pizza looked like and started eating without a cursory glance. One slice and half way through the movie, my observations thus far were:
1) For a pizza delivery joint delivering inside JNU, without airs of stupidity (read Dominos- never being able to locate the location in spite of putting the directions down) team Pizza Delight had nailed it.
2) The thin crust gourmet meat pizza (can't remember the name, please look at the menu- the one with all the meats/chicken in their case) was a refreshing change from what is available inside the campus.
3) My Pizza had no meat!
So, turns out, they delivered me a large vegetable delight pizza (monetary value same as a regular gourmet chicken pizza). The plus side being that I'd consumed fries and was considerably full. The downside that I had to stay another 40 minutes to get my pizza delivered. On a side note, I've come to believe that all my efforts of placing an order via O2 app will result in disastrous results.
The rectified pizza was surprisingly as good as the one they sent by mistake. Thin crust, decent amount of cheese and lots of meat- if this isn't love, then I don't know what is. All this food costed me rs 210 and an additional television show to stream. Which is peanuts, really. The staff/team is polite and polished.
Strictly reviewed for the ones at JNU. A 4 star experience at campus is saying a lot. Probably a 3 for outsiders but for those of us enrolled at the institute, this is bound to win your heart.
